How “What If” Became Mythical ‘Wich
Brad Leighninger loves a bold, well-made sandwich, and that passion helped bring Mythical ‘Wich to life. But Brad’s love for food isn’t just surface-level. He has always pushed himself to be one of the best, and he competes in over a dozen competitions every year! And with over $50K in awards, he definitely knows what he’s doing.
Along with his partners — Derrick Melugin, Jason Roberts, and Tammy Roberts — Brad opened Gettin’ Basted in 2017, then added Side Chick and Downing Street Pour House, showing that they really know how to deliver in multiple food categories.
A few years ago, they had the idea to open a unique sandwich shop, but weren’t really sure how to put it together — until Brad started seeing quirky concepts popping up everywhere and knew they’d make a great theme.
And just like magic, this downtown Branson gem started making sandwich dreams come true.
What’s on the Menu at Mythical ‘Wich in Branson
Everything here has a playful twist, from the sandwiches to the sides, salads, and desserts.
Take the all-day breakfast sandwiches, for example. The Wake and Steak features shaved ribeye, grilled with garlic butter, onions, and pickled peppers. They smother that with Provel cheese and top it with two fried eggs. We’re drooling just thinking about it.
And the OK, Beth — a French Toast sandwich with nut butter, cream cheese, bananas, and jam — tastes like childhood in the best way.
Their Mythical MVPs (aka, what everyone raves about) include the Cosmic Bacon Ranch, the Seoul Roll, The Day After, and White Wich. Each sandwich mixes fun flavor combinations that turn a simple sandwich into something magical.
But while the sandwiches might be legendary, don’t skip on the selfie-worthy sides. The Pot ‘O Gold is a tasty twist on elotes, with fresh roasted corn, cotija cheese, and a lime/Cholula dressing. And the pasta salad, featuring a house-made ranch dressing, hits the spot every time.

Our Experience at Mythical ‘Wich
Legendary sandwiches and cool vibes sounded right up our alley, so we headed over to Mythical ‘Wich to learn all about it from Brad himself.
We immediately loved the eclectic decor and welcoming ambiance that really make this place stand out from your typical chain. And once we got that first whiff of sizzling meat, we knew our snack standards were about to be ruined.
Jimmy, the GM, started us off with Brad’s favorite sandwich, the Seoul Roll. It’s a fun twist on a cheesesteak with ribeye (or chicken), grilled jalapeños and onions, melted Provel, Asian slaw, yum-yum sauce, and Korean chili paste. Sweet, spicy, and amazing.
Once we stopped licking our fingers, Jimmy set us up with their twist on a Reuben, featuring shaved pastrami, their special Molly sauce, sauerkraut, and a fried egg. It took a classic to a whole new level.
Brad also told us he has about 50 other sandwiches he wants to add to the menu, so we’ll definitely be making some side quests to taste his latest creations.
