The two-story Titanic Museum opened in 2006 and is housed in a half-scale model structure of the Titanic itself. Anchored in water to create the illusion of the Titanic at sea, the museum holds 400 pre-discovery artifacts in 20 galleries. The interior is decorated for the holiday season, and on Thanksgiving weekend, the exterior is often adorned with 1,500 luminaries (also known as festival lights).
